The following is a list of web sites that include University of Arizona and Budzu, with links to sample Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Information (RFIs) for library automation projects. Many of the documents listed below are for statewide public library systems and academic systems. While they may seem to be more than many smaller libraries or library systems need, they are still helpful for the smaller libraries to review while deciding on system requirements and preparing for a library automation project.

Illinois Library Computer Systems Office Request for Proposals (RFP). March 25, 1997.

Indiana State Library and Historical Board. Automation Standards. These standards, created by State’s Council on Library Automation, are to be used by Indiana libraries in the implementation of new computer systems acquired after July 1, 1993.

Integrated Library System for Icelandic Libraries. An RFP for a system for use by all libraries in Iceland.

Wisconsin Request for Proposal (RFP) for Licensing full text database online access services Although not a RFP for an integrated library system, still useful as a model for planning.
